A couple in Australia decided to stay close to home and transform a garage on family property into their new home.

The garage measures about 50 square meters (around 538 sq ft) and took about $60,000 AUD (about $44,830 USD) to renovate into a livable space. The couple worked with builder Jai Ramage of Timber Artistry to put in a new timber stud frame and add a new roof. Once finished, the garage was a space for both living and work with a nice beach hut look.
