Mt. Sanitas Tiny House (506 Sq Ft)

October 09, 2017

This breath-taking modern home in Boulder, Colorado, is the epitome of big living in a small space!

According to Curbed, the home's owners wanted a large, beautiful, luxury home; however, the size that they wanted had regulations that would hinder the customization they desired. To get around the regulations, they downsized their home from over 2,000 sq. ft. to just 506 sq ft and enlisted architect Brad Tomecek of Tomecek Studio Architecture to help them plan their home.

The large kitchen takes up most of the home’s space. This room features a peninsula under which 3 chairs sit, a sink, white IKEA table tops/cabinetry and Bosch kitchen appliances. The kitchen was purposely made to be the largest room as this is where most people gather when the couple is entertaining friends and family.

To the right of the home is the master bedroom, staircase that leads up to the home office and bathroom. The bathroom features a walk-in shower with glass doors, a double sink, toilet and white vanity.

One of the most notable features of this particular tiny home is that the bifold glass doors, on the side of the house facing the living room, completely open. This design allows for the living room to extend on to the outdoor porch and increases the amount of guests that can be entertained in the home!
